D11 with Kazama Suspension Arms Mod (7)This modification was made available to us by Satoshi Raoni Sakaguchi of Team Mad Skill, who often drifts at Mecca Pro Shop in Japan. Thanks Satoshi ^_^

This modification is for the Alex Racing Design D11 chassis with an upgrade to Kazama R31 suspension arms system. Similar to the RC-Art White Wolf chassis that utilize the same suspension arm system, the potential of the D11 is now improved. You will notice in the pictures that all blue parts are Kazama R31 compatible parts. This is worth checking out for any ARD owners.

Parts used for Modification:

  • Kazama R31 front suspension arms
  • Kazama R31 C-hub
  • Kazama R31 steering knuckle
  • Overdose R31 universal driveshafts 48mm
  • Kazama rear R31 suspension arms
  • Kazama rear R31 hub carrier

A few day ago I performed an modificarion on my D11. So if you are interested to share this on your website I’ll be honor to help any owner of D11 to do that.

I changed the intire suspension of my D11 by the GPX’s system. It fits perfectly and do not need to drill the chassis. That change make a huge difference in my RC. I really recomend it!!!

I just finished the modification. Changed the original dampers by TRF with HL Cylinders and titanium coated pistons.

The credits of my Mod goes to Drift Mission (I know it sounds cliche but if wasn’t for you, I probably used the street jam’s sus instead Kazama’s on my RC), Team MAD SKILL for their suport, Slow Freaks and MECCA PRO SHOP (sponsor).

Drift Mission would like to Thank Sastoshi for contribution of this Custom Modification.

    • What’s up sandrock?!
      So, about the weight.
Yes, it’s a little heavy. But still lighter than most of plastic chassis.
It weights something around 1.4 Kg with batery on it. Results may vary with diferent types of batery.
Because of this a recomend to use LiPo, 8.5T or fater and engine ratio around 7.0.
I really enjoy to Drift with this chassis and in my perpective this modification is highly recomended. But you can use Street Jam’s R31 parts to spare some grams. I got one Kazama GPX Full Option too and it is heavier than the CER D11.
For me heavy chassis isn’t a draw back at all. It’s easier to handle, acelerates faster and brakes works better in my opinion.
      Keep it Sideways!!
