Street Jam has recently announced a rear motor conversion kit for the OTA-R31 chassis. The day of the front-mid motor dominance is over in the RC Drift world. The introduction of the Tamiya TA-06 has made quite an impact, now that these types of rear motor conversion kits are being offered by many chassis manufacturers.
This conversion kit requires the original OTA-R31 chassis in order for its full assembly. This new carbon chassis has been redesigned to accommodate the rear-mid motor configuration. There is also additional aluminum for support and performance. This kit also changes the orientation of the battery position from longitudinal to lateral.
For all those Street Jam OTA-R31 users out there, look for this conversion kit at the end of April 2015.
