Yokomo has just released a new Lithium Polymer (Li-Po) battery holder for the Yokomo DRB drift package series of chassis. The new short Li-Po holder is made specifically for a smaller narrower styled Li-Po battery for a change in weight distribution. This new option part will give Yokomo DRB users more options for tuning.
This new short Li-Po battery holder may improve performance by utilizing a light-weight narrow battery for better weight distribution characteristics. Using a shorter/narrow battery will better centralize the weight in the centre of the chassis. Spacers can be used between the chassis and battery holder if a thicker battery is used.
Yokomo recently released a 30C 7.4V 1600mAh Li-Po that will fit into the holder. The YZ-LP160 battery approximate MSRP is ¥4200JPY.
