Max Speed Technology has officially announced the silver FS-01D front motor chassis for release on February 22, 2012. The special pre-order period is over and now you can purchase from your local retailer. This chassis is one of the first full front motor chassis kit to hit the market. An entire line-up of silver option parts will also be available for this chassis. Check out the full post for more details.

The new MST FS-01D front motor chassis will now feature silver carbon graphite. The new silver surface carbon material provides desirable flex characteristics and styling. This chassis will be in high demand, so pre-orders are recommended if you want one.

The FS-01D now offers the user more options when it comes to mechanical chassis traction. Several additional silver carbon components are integrated for chassis rigidity adjustment. The new FS-01D silver chassis has been designed with high traction in mind. Manufactured to approximately 2.0mm with several cut-outs to promote greater flex characteristics. The most noticeable being the side wings and the W shaped piece in front of the rear tensioner. These pieces can be adjusted by screws to create more or less chassis flex. Which is a benefit for the more technical RC Drifters out there.

The new FS-01D Silver Chassis features 2 distinct battery positions.

        You can fill out the form above, it will put you indirect contact with MST, so they will be able to fulfill your spare parts needs.  There is also a 3rd party ebay store that sells MST parts.  MST distributors are starting to come into the market.  If you email MST, they can better direct you!

        Is there only me that MST technology is responding for any emails so slow? I sended them questions about spare parts, and upgrades (like one way unit or CS) and no respond from them for few days…
        Anybody has same story as I do?

          Try filling out the form again, our server has been experiencing some problems lately.

          If you are asking about Front one-way or CS, it is not included with this kit.

             I know it is not included in set, was asking about price and/or is it at all available for this model. I was sending email directly to mst, they responded me twice (just after theirs new years brake)…
            Dunno what to think about it?! If they are not responding to question asked, or responding with so big delay, what is gonna be in future?

              Well I cannot speak for MST, but personally have never had a problem getting a response form them.  Sometimes it does take a few days, but they always respond.  The only time they did not was because the email was sorted into the “Junk Mail” folder, not sure why, but it has happened in the past.

              Finnaly they responded to may emails, I am quoting: “We are arranging some FS-01D option photos and quotation which could be
              available along with FS-01D in this month.
              Please give us one more day, some items will be confirmed tomorrow.”So tommorow, 9th of feb they gonna publish some info about spare/upgrades to this model.DriftMission thanks for interest on this matter, good to know that somebody is reading this :-)

      They couldn’t give me straight answer re: max parralell steering angle out of the box, or when adding the aluminum steering link. No thanks.

        Probably because it is dependent on whether you remove the steering limiter.  As the manufacturer, they would not recommend removing safe-guards from the chassis.  But as the end-user, you have the option of removing them and gaining more steering angle.

          Heres how Portuguese Sponsored driver Rui got arround that limiter problem:

          They just open a small entry in to the limiter to get more steering without removing the limiters.
          Works like a charm.

      Or I do not understand something or have some kind of problem. They said to me, asked for the recipient’s address, I sent and sent my paypal account a week ago, but has not received any response.

      Big Q:- is this pre-order for all International buyers or just selected countries for which there is no MST agent?
       
      Just received msg from MST telling me to order from “local distributor” instead 
      via a online webstore which, thankyou very much, does not yet exist.
       
      Thus hard to check whether USD$420 promo pricing will be honoured nor arrival timeframe;
      given past experiences with adding middlemen into the chain – i won’t hold my breath.

        To our understanding, this pre-order is for buyers from any country which does not have an Official MST dealer.  We are under the impression that MST would forward these inquiries to their respective local authorized dealers.

        Yes we understand your concern about adding middle-men to the transaction, but authorized MST dealers would be better able to answer your questions and provide you after purchase support.  This promo is an official offer directly from MST, so if you ordered this before February 15 then they should honor the promo price.
