Drift Mission is proud to give you a first sneak peep at the highly anticipated Hot Bodies TC-FD high end RC Drift chassis. The original HB TC-D was released exclusively in Japan only. It quickly became a “most wanted” chassis in the RC drift community, primarily due to its rarity. This is the first sneak peek at the new HB TC-FD and it is thanks to Murdock, Drift Mission’s resident chassis guru.
Hot Bodies made the official announcement at the beginning of the week, and now its finally here. The release of this chassis has been delayed multiple times. There has been rumors and speculation going about this chassis, so lets find out what is legitimate and what was speculated.
After checking out the content, it seems there is no counter-steer kit. Looks like it will be an additional option part after all. The chassis has been redesigned slightly, but so far so good. Lets check out the instruction manual.
Well, it looks like it will be a 50/50 drifter out of the box. With front and rear pulley being 39T and center pulleys are 18T. For the counter dori fans out there, lets hope that HB releases the option CS gears soon.
Once again, we would like to extend a big thank you to Murdock for sharing this experience with us. Stay tuned for the full chassis build by Murdock in the coming week!
This new HB chassis has now been released to the North American and the Japanese market. We have heard from HPI/HB Europe drivers that the TC-FD will not be released there. If anyone can confirm this for us, please feel free to contact us.

You will have to do a steering mod . This car has serious ackerman
countersteer pulleys and belts can be sourced easily.. but if it does not come with a Front 1 way… then FOW-ers like me are screwed 🙁
I believe the new TC-FD uses TCX bulkheads, so theoretically the TCX FOW should fit. We will know more once Murdock gets the chassis assembled!
Just buy a FOW.
@c82313280a04db7b6b3a86ba578eef00:disqus – They sell a front one way for it. Its listed in the manual part# 68720. Its the same one that fits the TCX.
@CTEK121294 – What mod is required?
The TCX FOW drops right in.
Slight ackerman.
