  1. Coming from 1:1 Street drifting, I find that CS is the closest form of true drifting. IF the weight bias of RWD were better, I think it could be close to CS, but in my experimenting, the cars seemed to Loop out. I’ve been drifting since the beginning, and its def. come a long ways. 50/50 used to be the only option!

  2. My name’s Tina, and one of the very few ladies here drifting in NorCal, U.S.A. I currently drift 50/50 and will be going to CS very soon. Cheers!

  3. im going to have to say its a tie between 50-50 and CS, CS is def a more real feel and look to it, but its hard giving up on 50-50 as we have been together for so long…. but i think ideally would be a CS set up with a MOA in the front set up, prob keeping 1.5 ratio

  4. 50/50 = super control , cs = very clean looking angles
    TC-FD 50/50 love it !! , drove my buddy’s VDS cs@ 30% loved it also
guess it comes down to set-up …
but for now 50/50 TC-FD …about to finish my MST-FS-01D and it’s going to be cs around 50-60 % , I’ll know then if I’ll like the cs more then my current 50/50 ; )

  5. Countersteer of course but the biggest things to mod is the steering and ensure it can do a proper counter for most kit. choosing a kit with high chance to mod is not easy anyway.

  6. I’ve started playing RC drifting 6 month ago with no basic whatsoever and counter steer since then. Back then didn’t have a clue what is CS and was struggling like mad. Never experience 50/50 though. Been trying RWD but current chassis seem not suitable for it yet. So for now CS is for me.

  7. im running a 50:50 car atm, but i absolutely love cs feels and looks soo much better 🙂

  8. 50:50 Only a tank can skid the wheels in one direction. 🙂
    RWD – Counter-Steer = Real Drift Style
    Eagle Racing GRT CS96%

  9. 50/50 is easy, you can drift great without alot of skills. CS is more fun to drive in my opinion, that is because of the counsteer whick 50/50 dont really has much. For easy drifting: 50/50 is the answer, but for more fun CS is your friend. Unlucky i havent driven a RWD chassis yet so i can not really say something about it. But i think it is great fun!

  10. I’m gonna go with 50/50 because thats they only one I know of, I barely started really getting into R/c Drift a little over a month ago.. So no real experience yet

  11. rwd, i love it because you have to counter steer it so much, and that looks so cool on its own, i mean, you are drifting one way, and the wheels are fighting against it.

  12. Countersteer for sure 🙂 At this point it’s the most realistic imo. RWD is still lacking realist (speed, too twitchy etc.)

  13. Countersteer for sure! It’s the most realistic imo compairing it to 50/50 and rwd. Rwd is still too slow for it starting to look like the real deal. 🙂

  14. Countersteer, I am new and still building out my tc4, I have added a locking rear diff. and a oneway diff. to the front. I am waiting for my new alum, rims to install ABS. Any ideas would be great.

  15. I am a nubie true to meaning, I don’t even own a car yet and I’m still trying to understand the lingo and learn about the rc drift world. I came to drift missions looking for more answers and info and stumble across this 50/50/CS topic and now I’m confused all over again… LOL How will I know if I’m purchasing a 50/50 or a CS car? Because it seems like CS is the way to go. Thx. DRED

  16. 50:50 is just rallying, RWD is uncompetitive… CS appropriately is best for looks & controllability.

  17. Started with 50/50 almost 7 yeas ago! WOW how time flies!!!! So I am biased towards 50/50. I started CS about 2 years ago and still learning all the time = challenging myself. RWD might be my next step but for now I love the set up on my 50/50 so 50/50 it is!

  18. Thanks Drift Mission for such a great site. I’ve been fallowing Drift Mission for a while now and can only see great things in the future. Me and the team will be putting those decals to use and posting the bodies on this site.
I’d like to add that it was nice to see the email in my inbox the day after my wedding. Thanks again.
