Just announced from Horizon Hobby comes a new brand of RC products called Vaterra RC The new V100 4WD shaft driven chassis has some nice features like waterproof electronics and detailed bodies and wheels!!
They are expected to be released at the end of March 2013, and are offering some pre-order prices on the RTR versions for $239. This probably won’t make for much of a RC Drift chassis yet due to the lack of steering angle, suspension setup, and no adjustable camber. There are some option parts that may address some of these issues in the future. The body options look more impressive than the chassis, currently there are 3 bodies to be released. The 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS, 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL-1, and a 2012 Nissan GT-R. The bodies appear to feature great details and realistic plastic exhausts / bumpers, they don’t appear to have light buckets which is rather unfortunate considering all the work put into the details. We suspect this may be due to the “Waterproof Electronics” claim, but time will tell!
