Yokomo’s latest release, the Super Drift 3.0 (SDR-030), brings significant upgrades, especially in the steering system. The most noticeable feature is the robust and stable steering design, which provides the driver with greater control while maintaining a strong grip on the road.
This system employs an orthodox wiper and centre link setup, but the steering base is tilted forward to adjust the pivot height; reducing the bump steer that typically occurs with suspension movement. This innovation helps maintain stability throughout the corner, preventing unwanted behaviour changes from throttle operation.Additionally, the front aluminum bulkhead support is mounted toward the rear of the chassis, enhancing rigidity and offering smoother cornering with less snagging. While the rear bulkhead design remains consistent with previous models, the battery is now placed at the rear end, adding to the rear load for improved balance. The addition of an upper deck post allows for customization, with the rear servo mount also doubling as a post for adjustable rigidity.
The SD3.0 will be available in anodized finishes in black, blue, purple, and red, offering both performance enhancements and aesthetic appeal for drift enthusiasts.
