Yokomo has introduced an update to the popular the MD (Master Drift) 1.0 chassis, code named the LTS: Load Transfer Special. The Yokomo MD 1.0 LTS kit is a high-end machine that attempts to replicates the movement of a real drift car.
The emphasis is on weight transfer (lateral and longitudinal) as well as improved increased suspension travel for superior performance. While the basic configuration is indicative of the MD1.0, the centre-of-gravity setting provided by the high-mounted battery creates a traction roll again emphasizing the behaviour of a real car . The front and rear springs are multi-wound springs designed specifically for the LTS, and the roll that effectively uses rebound further enhances the sense of weight.
At the front, the aluminum steering block with the upper arm mounted high reduces the excessive nose dive that tends to be caused by rolling machines, achieving both moderate reduction in understeer and controllability. The kingpin angle can also be changed, so the camber change when turning the steering wheel is realistic, making low-angle video shooting even more fun.
